We are seeking an entry-level Staff Scientist for our Charlottesville, VA location. EnviroTrac Ltd. is a leader in providing responsive site investigation and remediation services of high quality to a diverse client base, including some of the world’s largest corporations. Staff Scientist candidates must have a B.S. in engineering, geology, or related science discipline with 0-4 years of experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Soil, groundwater, drinking water, air sampling.
- Phase I and Phase II reporting
- Site assessments
- Drilling/monitoring well installation oversight
- Geotechnical and environmental drilling, soil sampling and testing
- Technical report writing permitting.
- Construction oversight
- UST Closures
- Field analysis and surveying
- Remediation System Installation, operation and maintenance
- Communication tower NEPA and Section 106 compliance is a plus.
The appropriate candidates will possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Must be flexible, willing to work overtime, and occasional overnight travel. Company vehicles are provided for job travel. OSHA 40-hour Health & Safety training at Hazardous Waste sites as well as appropriate 8-hour refreshers a plus.
