EnviroTrac Ltd. is a critical Hazardous Materials & Energy contractor to ensure ESSENTIAL FUNCTION, as designated by the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of the Department of Homeland Security’s March 28, 2020 Memorandum on Identification of Critical Infrastructure Workers During Covid-19 Response.

According to reports, the COVID-19 virus can remain viable on surfaces for an extended period of time depending on the surface and/or conditions. Trained personnel using EPA registered and hospital grade disinfecting solutions will sanitize surface areas where affected individuals may have come in contact. All personnel will be wearing appropriate level of personal protective equipment (PPE) consistent with the disinfectant’s instructions.

Step 1 - Initial Cleaning

If surfaces are dirty, they will be cleaned using a detergent and water prior to disinfection.

Step 2 - EPA Approved Disinfectant Application

Application of an EPA-approved disinfectant by spraying, misting or wiping, focusing especially on frequently touched surfaces (within 5 feet vertically from the floor). A minimum 5-10-minute dwell time (according to manufacturer specifications) will be allowed post application.

Frequently touched surfaces include:
Light Switches
Desks and Chairs
Computer Keyboards and Mice
Faucets and Sinks
Gas Pump Handles
Touch Screens
ATM Machines
Vending Machines

Step 3 - Residual Disinfectant Cleanup and Dry Time

It may be desirable to remove residual disinfectant after the dwell time. If needed, warm water and detergent solution or other cleaning product appropriate for the surface will be used with a clean cloth to remove any residual disinfectant. For soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes the disinfectant may be left to dry in place.

Cleaning technicians will wear disposable gloves and suitable outerwear for all tasks in the cleaning process, including handling trash. Gloves and outerwear should be compatible with the disinfectant products being used.

Additional PPE might be required based on the cleaning/disinfectant products being used and whether there is a risk of splash (such as safety glasses, or safety goggles).

Gloves and outerwear should be removed carefully to avoid contamination of the wearer and the surrounding area. Be sure to clean hands after removing gloves. Gloves should be removed after cleaning a room or area occupied by ill persons. Clean hands immediately after gloves are removed.

Cleaning staff and others should clean hands often, including immediately after removing gloves by washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. Follow normal preventive actions while at work and home, including cleaning hands and avoiding touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands (and unclean gloves).

(Interim Recommendations for US Community Facilities with Suspected/Confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as of 3/24/20)

Disinfection services will be performed in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Cleaning and Disinfection recommendations. Services can be scheduled after hours to minimize business interruption. Pricing estimates will be provided depending on the needs of your business. Although recommended procedures are followed for disinfection, due to the nature of viruses, EnviroTrac makes no claim or guarantee that the surfaces cannot become re-contaminated or that the virus is completely eliminated.
